Summer Surprise

Wild daisies always bring me memories of summer break, playing in a field, climbing mountains and lots of fun. This painting shows the freshness of daisies pushing away the summer heat.
One of my favourites from the Flowers series, it is my rendition of the different emotions flowers evoke in our hearts. I have painted this series on pure silk using silk dyes, reflecting the soft texture and colours of flower petals. The tapestry style further brings out the feel of flowers nodding happily in an open field, unbound by traditional frames.
